Reagan is still doing good. She squeezed my finger today.! What a blessing! The rehab doctors do not know what to think about all of her movements! Classes are going good, but slow. We are ready to come home! Tentative discharge is July 21st. We are hoping to speed things up. We'll see! Have a blessed day!

Things are going good here. Reagan is a trooper. She just smiles all the time and MOVES! She is still amazing us. She is getting use to her nurses and talks to them alot now! So cute! They have fallen in love with her. How could you not, right? Allen and I started the home vent training classes this week! Probably about four more weeks of learning! We do Mon., Tues., Wed. or Tues., Wed., Thur., however Allen's work schedule falls. Allen is being a good nurse. He successfully cathed Reagan on his first try! Go Daddy! Go Daddy! He was very proud of himself. He is kidding with all of the nurses and making them think he is drinking the pee pee and really it is apple juice! Sick sense of humor! He thinks he is so funny!!! The nurses think he is crazy!!!!

Reagan is doing awesome! Praise God! She is moving her legs so often the doctors really don't know what to think about her. She amazes everyone. All of your prayers are lifting her and us up.

They have adjusted her vent settings a little because she is trying to breathe on her own a little. Another Thank you God! I don't think He is finished with her yet. They don't think she is taking big enough breaths but everyday she is doing a little bit better. We are starting our home vent training classes tomorrow. Allen will be here to take them with me and it should take about 4 weeks if we are fast learners! hopefully we will get to bring her home in a month or so! I know she will feel much more comfortable at home. Mommy too! Thanks again for all your prayers!

Blessings to Reagan from God our Father

Reagan is doing so much better than even a week ago! Praise God! She is talking so much. We are so excited to hear her talking all the time. She spoke to Brennen on the phone the other day and told him she loved him and that she wanted to play playdough when she came home from the hospital! PRECIOUS ANGEL! Brennen is sweet too, when he wants to be. He is doing good considering he is passed around all the time. I think he was excited for me to come home this weekend and spend time with him. My mom sat with Reagan and they had a girl party. I had only been gone for ten minutes Friday night and called to check on Reagan. Mom put the phone up to her ear and she said "Hello Mommy, we're having a party!" I could tell she was really missing me as much as I was missing her! Yeah right! Thanks Mom! She had fun!
Are you ready for this? Reagan moved her foot on command! Praise God!!!! We are so excited. We put play dough on her foot and told her to kick it. She does it just about everytime except for when she is being stubborn. (Gets that from her daddy!! :) ) God is moving in Reagan's room. It is not a huge kick but pretty big for Reagan! She is always smiling and dancing with her shoulders. Alvin is STILL her favorite movie although she is loving the one Tim and Melissa Pigg brought her this weekend. She calls it the penguin movie.
She is ready to go home so hopefully we can in about 4-5 weeks. Larry and Kathy, the card about the Lord moving is awesome! What timing! As always! Love you and Thanks again everyone for everything. Hey! Well, Reagan has been throwing up and dirrehea (not sure how to spell that!) They think it may just be a bug! Can you believe it? I thought she may be over it because she had not thrown up since around noon yesterday but the first time I gave her pedialite she threw it up! If she does it again they are going to do some type of x-ray to see if she has some sort of blockage. She has been sleeping pretty much all day so maybe she will feel better tomorrow. Iam going to try to figure out how to put some new pictures up so everyone can see the HUGE smile on Reagan's face as she was eating chocolate pudding and sitting up in wheelchair. PT rigged her up one with a beanbag in it so she can lay in it and go for a walk down the hall. She loves it. She chases me and thinks it is so funny to get mommy!

Reagan had a pretty good weekend, so I hear! Angela Grisham stayed the night with her on Friday and Saturday. I think she would make a good nurse! I got to go home and spend some time with Brennen. He had his last soccer game of the season so I was glad I got to make that. Mom and Jess stayed with her last weekend! They are good nurses also! Thanks so much! I love you gals!
Reagan is being a little stubborn and not wanting to eat as well as she should be so she still has the feeding tube down her nose and gets pedisure at night. It bothers her so I wish she would eat so they could take it out. I know she would feel so much better not having that in her nose.
She didn't smile at me when I came back today, but Allen got her to smile big when he came to see her. She loves her Daddy. It had almost been a week since he had seen her. Crazy railroad life!!!! She was very happy to see him.
She ran a little bit of a fever this weekend (101.something). They are thinking that because of her spinal cord injury, her body may not be able to regulate itself.?. I don't know what is going on with that.
It is 11:30 pm and she is resting now. I think I will try to get some sleep before they come back in and start poking on her again. I think that is why she wakes up at crazy hours of the mornings. Can't really get on a schedule in the hospital! They have to come in every 4 hrs and cath her and every 6 to give her breathing treatments! She is so strong! My hero!
THANK YOU EVERYONE for everything. The prayers, cards, visits, phone calls, money, encouraging words, food, and all the love and support that everyone has shown. I read her all of her cards when she gets them and she loves them. She smiles. She loved the stickers! She wants to put them on her halo! Love you guys. Please keep her in your prayers!

Update

Reagan has been having a few good days! She has been eating soft foods and tolerating them well. She has been smiling a lot which makes me smile too! She is talking over her trach. She wakes me up ever so softly saying "mommy, I need you!" Praise God for her little voice trying to come out. They are trying to let her use a passy valve that helps her voice come out loud and proud. She did well yesterday but hasn't been feeling too hot today so the therapist didn't want to push her. Maybe next week. We have no idea when we may be coming home. Sounds like it will probably be a couple of weeks before they even want to train us on the home vent and that will take possibly 3 weeks or more. I guess I should make myself comfortable.
